Team News: Mesut Ozil misses out with knee injury

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil will not feature against Newcastle United after sustaining a minor knee injury.

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has been left out of the squad for his side's Premier League fixture at Newcastle United after sustaining a minor knee injury.

Ozil joins German international teammate Per Mertesacker on the sidelines, but defender Laurent Koscielny is fit to return to the starting linuep after missing out against Liverpool on Monday.

Theo Walcott has also been drafted into the lineup in place of Olivier Giroud, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also being handed a start.

As for Newcastle, Steve McLaren has made four alterations to the team that recorded a goalless draw away at Manchester United last weekend.

Striker Aleksandar Mitrovic begins a Premier League game for the first time, as does Florian Thauvin, while Moussa Sissoko and Daryl Janmaat make their return to the team.
