Gabriel Jesus, William Saliba and Oleksandr Zinchenko all start for Arsenal in Friday's Premier League opener with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Saliba enjoyed an impressive pre-season with Arsenal and has been rewarded with a start in central defence alongside Gabriel Magalhaes, with Ben White at right-back as Takehiro Tomiyasu misses out.

Kieran Tierney is fit enough for a spot on the bench after recovering from a knee injury, as Zinchenko makes his competitive debut at left-back.

Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka unsurprisingly partner up in midfield, with Martin Odegaard captaining the side from his number 10 role.

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli start out wide for Arsenal, as Emile Smith Rowe and Fabio Vieira both miss out through injury, while Jesus starts at the tip of the attack.

There are spots on the bench for Reiss Nelson and Nicolas Pepe alongside new number two Matt Turner, as Arsenal aim to avoid another 3-0 Selhurst Park drubbing.

Arsenal starting lineup: Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Partey, Xhaka; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Jesus

Subs: Turner, Cedric, Holding, Tierney, Elneny, Lokonga, Nelson, Pepe, Nketiah

Crystal Palace starting lineup: Guaita; Clyne, Guehi, Andersen, Mitchell; Schlupp, Doucoure, Eze; Ayew, Edouard, Zaha

Subs: Johnstone, Ward, Richards, Riedewald, Milivojevic, Hughes, Ebiowei, Mateta, Plange
