Arsenal have reportedly agreed personal terms with Fenerbahce left-back Ferdi Kadioglu and are edging closer to a deal for the Turkey international.

The 24-year-old excelled as an attacking force in the 2023-24 season with three goals and five assists from 51 matches, although Fenerbahce fell short in their bid for Turkish Super Lig glory.

Kadioglu - who was born in the Netherlands but represents Turkey - is only contracted to Fenerbahce until 2026, though, and Arsenal have apparently already seen one bid for his signature rejected.

Now, Turkish newspaper Milliyet - via Sport Witness - claims that Kadioglou has agreed personal terms with Arsenal, and Mikel Arteta is pushing hard for his arrival.

Barcelona midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has reportedly come to a decision over his future at Camp Nou after the arrival of Hansi Flick as head coach.

The former Manchester City lynchpin was a stalwart of the Blaugrana team during the 2023-24 season, playing 51 matches with Xavi at the helm.

Gundogan contributed five goals and 14 assists in his debut campaign after leaving Manchester City on a free transfer, but he could walk away from the club for nothing in 12 months' time.

Gundogan only agreed to a two-year contract upon his arrival at Camp Nou, although both parties possess the option to extend his stay by a further season until the summer of 2026.

Bayern Munich 'rule out move' for 'unhappy' Arsenal defender

    © Reuters

German powerhouses Bayern Munich have reportedly ruled out making a move for an 'unhappy' Arsenal defender in the summer transfer window.

After shining during the Gunners' Premier League title charge in 2022-23 as Mikel Arteta's first-choice left-back, Oleksandr Zinchenko lost his status as an unchallenged starter last season.

The former Manchester City man did start 20 Premier League games for the Gunners, but he was often overlooked for the likes of Takehiro Tomiyasu and Jakub Kiwior in the latter stages of the campaign.

Furthermore, Zinchenko only made the starting lineup in three of Arsenal's Champions League matches, and he is set to fall further down the pecking order in 2024-25, when Jurrien Timber will stake his claim for regular minutes.

"Not necessary" - Laporta provides major Barca transfer update

    © Reuters

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has firmly denied suggestions that his club will be forced into selling some of their key players during this summer's transfer window.

The Catalan outfit are expected to be active in the upcoming market, but their well-documented financial situation had led to claims that some important players might have to leave.

Ronald Araujo, Frenkie de Jong and Raphinha are among those being linked with exits, with all three capable of commanding huge price-tags in the current market.

However, Laporta has said that Barcelona have successfully increased their income to a point where it will 'not be necessary' to make a major sale during the summer market.

Fiorentina chief issues update on Sofyan Amrabat's future

Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has said that Sofyan Amrabat wants to stay in the Premier League this summer, but it is still unclear whether he will sign for Manchester United.

Amrabat moved to Old Trafford on loan from Fiorentina last summer, and he made 30 appearances for the 20-time English champions during the 2023-24 campaign.

The loan is believed to have cost Erik ten Hag's side €10m (£8.5m), while the purchase option is said to be worth €20m (£17m) plus €5m (£4.3m) in add-ons.

The 27-year-old found it difficult to show his best form for long spells of the season, but he did end the campaign impressively, starting the team's final three Premier League games before being given the nod for the FA Cup final against Manchester City.

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly pushing to keep hold of Nacho for one more season, with the centre-back proving to be a key player for Los Blancos during the 2023-24 campaign.

The Spaniard's current deal at Bernabeu is due to expire at the end of June, and he is believed to be preparing to leave the European champions in search of a new challenge before the end of his career.

However, according to Marca, Ancelotti is fighting to keep hold of Nacho, with the Italian allegedly telling him: "Don't do something crazy, stay here, with us, at Real Madrid."

The report claims that Nacho's mind is not made up, and a one-year contract extension to take him to the end of the 2024-25 campaign has not been ruled out at this sage.

Man United 'failed with hijack bid' for Chelsea-bound defender

Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag on April 21, 2024
    © Reuters

Manchester United have reportedly failed with an attempt to add a Premier League defender to their squad.

Head coach Erik ten Hag has admitted that the Red Devils are in the market for a new centre-back ahead of 2024-25.

However, as it stands, it is yet to be determined whether the Dutchman will remain at the helm as he undergoes an end-of-season review.

As a result of a new footballing operations team being put together, United do not necessarily have to wait for a manager's approval to add to their ranks.

Chelsea 'add 27-year-old PL striker to summer shortlist'

Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca reacts on March 17, 2024
    © Reuters

Chelsea have reportedly identified an experienced Premier League forward as a potential summer transfer target.

Despite a highly-productive end to the season under Mauricio Pochettino where they scored at least twice in 12 of their last 13 games, Chelsea are in the market for a new frontman.

Although Nicolas Jackson contributed an impressive 17 goals and six assists in all competitions, the Senegal international lacks competition for the number-nine role.

Christopher Nkunku is a current alternative, but the former RB Leipzig star endured an injury-hit campaign and may be better used in a deeper role.
