Brits ease through 100m heats at Zurich European Championships

British trio Dwain Chambers, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and James Dasaolu easily qualify for the men's 100m semi-finals at the European Championships in Zurich.

Great Britain's Dwain Chambers, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and James Dasaolu have eased into the semi-finals of the men's 100m at the European Championships in Zurich.

The trio ran within four-hundredths of a second of each other to post the third, fourth and fifth fastest-times of the qualifying heats.

The fastest men were both from France, with Jimmy Vicaut a tenth of a second quicker than teammate Christophe Lemaitre with a time of 10.06s.

Both the semi-finals and final take place tomorrow night.
