Three Paralympians from the Jordanian power-lifting team are pulled out of next week's Games after being charged with sex offences.

Three members of the Jordanian Paralympian squad have been thrown out of the Paralympic Games after being charged with sex offences.

The trio, which include Omar Sam Qaradhi, Motaz Al-Junadi and Faisal Hammash, were charged yesterday following their arrest on Monday at the Antrim Forum sports complex in Northern Ireland, where they have been training for next week's Games.

LOCOG have revealed that the Jordanian National Paralympic Committee decided to withdraw the three athletes, who are all part of the power-lifting team, where two compete in wheelchairs.

Qarardhi is facing three counts of sexual assault and one of voyeurism, while Al-Junadi has been charged with one count of sexual assault and Hammash faces two counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity.
