Andy Murray "unlikely" to play in Great Britain's Davis Cup quarter-final

Wimbledon champion Andy Murray says that it is "unlikely" that he will play for Great Britain in this week's Davis Cup quarter-final against Serbia in Belgrade.

Andy Murray has claimed that it is "unlikely" that he will play for Great Britain in this week's Davis Cup quarter-final against Serbia following his Wimbledon triumph.

The 29-year-old was expected to feature in Belgrade against Serbia, who will be without world number one Novak Djokovic.

However, after beating Milos Raonic in straight sets to win his second Wimbledon crown on Sunday, Murray could sit out the Davis Cup action.

According to BBC Sport, a final decision will be made after discussions with captain Leon Smith.

Murray, who was a key figure in Britain's historic Davis Cup win last November, won three matches in three days against Japan when the team began the defence of their title in March.
