Tony McCoy: 'I'd retire with Grand National win'

Nineteen-time champion jockey Tony McCoy admits that he would probably confirm his retirement should he win the Grand National at Aintree next month.

Tony McCoy has revealed that he would almost certainly announce his retirement should he win his second Grand National next month.

The 19-time champion jockey has already revealed that he will retire at the end of the season, but the Northern Irishman has admitted that he would probably bring forward the end of his career if he triumphs in the world's most famous horse race.

The 40-year-old told Channel Four Racing: "I think it will probably be the right thing to do. I think I'll probably stop there and then."

McCoy is expected to ride either Shutthefrontdoor or Cause Of Causes in three weeks' time.
