Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon claims that the club are more likely to move for Harry Kane over Robert Lewandowski in the transfer window.

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has claimed that the club will prioritise signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane over Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski.

The Tottenham forward has been in stellar form this season, scoring 35 goals in all competitions, his most recent of which was a late winner against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Kane ended 2017 as Europe's top scorer with 56 for club and country, surpassing Barcelona star Lionel Messi and Madrid's very own Cristiano Ronaldo.

Lewandowski is also in good form having scored 29 goals in all competitions this season for Bayern, and he has regularly been linked with a switch to the Bernabeu.

Calderon, though, thinks that the Spanish giants would prefer to bring in Kane this summer.

"I think Real's goal is more Kane, also because of his age," The Mirror quotes the club's former president as saying. "But if it does not work out with him, I think Real is trying to get Lewandowski."

Reports have claimed that Chelsea are leading the race to sign the Poland international.
