Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino casts more doubt over his future at the club by refusing to confirm whether he will be in charge next season.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has cast doubt over his future by refusing to confirm whether or not he will be in charge of the club next season.

Pochettino has established Spurs as a top-four team during his four years at the helm, but silverware has so far eluded the Argentine and he saw his side's final hope of ending their 10-year trophy drought go up in smoke with defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final last weekend.

The 46-year-old's comments regarding his future following that defeat raised eyebrows, and he has once again prompted questions after insisting that chairman Daniel Levy will decide on how long he stays at the club.

"I am not [Arsene] Wenger or [Sir Alex] Ferguson who decide about their own future. I decide only about the starting 11 in this football club," he told reporters.

"That is up to Daniel, does he want to offer or not? Only he has the answer to that question. I am a person who is never going to ask to improve my salary or extend my contract or anything like this."

Spurs currently sit fourth in the Premier League table, two points clear of Chelsea ahead of tonight's Premier League clash with Watford at Wembley.
