The brother of Tottenham Hotspur full-back Serge Aurier is reportedly shot dead outside a nightclub in Toulouse, with his alleged killer still at large.

The brother of Tottenham Hotspur full-back Serge Aurier has reportedly been shot dead outside a nightclub in France.

Christopher Aurier was fatally wounded at around 5am on Monday morning after being shot in Toulouse, and was pronounced dead in hospital.

Reports in France claim that local residents called police after Aurier was found lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his stomach.

The alleged killer is understood to still be on the run, with French authorities launching an investigation into the death.

Christopher was also a footballer, playing in the fifth division with Toulouse Rodeo, having come through the ranks at RC Lens alongside his brother Serge.

Spurs full-back Serge had been playing in the North London derby against Arsenal just hours before the tragic incident, helping his side to a 2-1 win.
