Martin Braithwaite keen to leave Middlesbrough in summer

Forward Martin Braithwaite says that he wants to complete a permanent move to Bordeaux during the summer after joining the club on loan from Middlesbrough in January.

Forward Martin Braithwaite has revealed that he would like to secure a permanent move away from Middlesbrough during the summer.

Last summer, Boro paid in the region of £9m to sign Braithwaite from Toulouse, but new boss Tony Pulis allowed the Danish winger to return to Ligue 1 during the January transfer window.

Braithwaite has already made six appearances for Bordeaux, and the attacker has openly admitted that he wants to commit his future to his new club.

The 26-year-old told GOLD FM: "I want to stay here. I can see there are good players here, in a very good club.

"So I see myself carrying on, because I feel very good here and well integrated, but it's easy because everyone is so nice."

Braithwaite - who scored six goals in 21 outings for Boro before leaving the Riverside Stadium - still has over three years remaining on his contract at the North-East outfit.
