Manchester United to recall defender from Championship loan?

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly ready to recall Cameron Borthwick-Jackson from his loan spell with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly decided to recall defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

It has previously been suggested that Mourinho was concerned by Borthwick-Jackson's lack of game time at Molineux, with the left-back limited to just five matches under Walter Zenga before he returned to the starting lineup under caretaker boss Rob Edwards last weekend.

However, according to The Sun, Mourinho is ready to exercise an early recall clause after injuries to both Antonio Valencia and Eric Bailly.

The 19-year-old broke into United's first team last season and made a total of 14 appearances under Louis van Gaal before the Dutch boss left Old Trafford at the end of the campaign.

He had been expected to spend the year in the Championship with Wolves but it now appears that Mourinho could hand him more minutes in the United senior side should he make the return to the North-West.
