Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly confident he can convince Paul Pogba to remain at Manchester United this summer despite the Frenchman's desire to leave the club.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly believes that he can convince Paul Pogba to remain at Manchester United this summer despite the Frenchman's recent public claim that he wishes to leave the club.

Pogba, who rejoined United in 2016, told reporters last month that he wanted to experience a "new challenge" elsewhere.

However, despite Pogba's desire to leave Old Trafford - a notion since reiterated by his agent Mino Raiola - the midfielder has travelled to Australia for the club's pre-season tour.

According to AS, Solskjaer plans to use the club's time in Australia, Singapore and China to convince Pogba to change his mind about leaving.

Solskjaer and Pogba enjoy a good relationship having worked together previously at youth level during the latter's first spell at the club between 2009 and 2012.

United are determined to keep Pogba, whose contract expires in 2021, and will reportedly only let him leave this summer if Real Madrid, his preferred destination, produce a bid of £150m.
