Paul Pogba informs Manchester United that he will not be signing a new contract as he wants to join Real Madrid, according to a report.

Paul Pogba has reportedly made it clear to Manchester United that he will not be signing a new contract with the English club as he continues to push for a switch to Real Madrid.

The France international has been strongly linked with a move to Los Blancos this summer, although it seems unlikely that the Spanish giants will be able to get a deal over the line before Monday's transfer deadline.

Pogba has two years left to run on his current deal at United, who also have the option to extend the contract for a further 12 months.

Last month, it was reported that the Red Devils were keen to hand the 26-year-old a new pay packet after making it clear that they would not be selling this summer.

However, according to Marca, Pogba has informed the 20-time English champions that he will not sign a new deal at Old Trafford as he wants to force a move to Madrid.

Pogba scored 16 times and contributed 11 assists in 47 appearances for the Red Devils last season, while the 2018 World Cup winner has already registered two Premier League assists this term.
