Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is unlikely to leave Old Trafford in January, according to a report.

Paul Pogba is reportedly unlikely to leave Manchester United in January, with the Red Devils expecting to lose the midfielder on a free transfer next summer.

The France international's contract at Old Trafford only has little over six months left to run, and the speculation surrounding his future continues to gather pace.

Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are among a number of clubs believed to be keen to sign the World Cup winner next year.

According to Manchester Evening News journalist Samuel Luckhurst, Pogba 'does not want to be' at Old Trafford, and 'no one at the club is expecting him to sign a new deal'.

However, the 28-year-old is allegedly unlikely to be sold next month, meaning that he is set to leave the 20-time English champions on a free transfer at the end of the 2021-22 campaign.

Pogba started the season in impressive fashion and has provided seven assists in nine Premier League appearances in 2021-22, but the midfielder has not turned out for his club since October 24 due to a thigh injury, and he has recently been in Dubai recovering from the issue.
