Manchester United want to sign Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell in this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Manchester United will reportedly attempt to bring Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell to the club in this summer's transfer window.

Brandon Williams has impressed for the Red Devils since breaking into the first team, but Luke Shaw's struggles and Ashley Young's exit have left Ole Gunnar Solskjaer short of options at left-back.

Chilwell has previously been linked with Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City having seemingly developed into England's first-choice left-back ahead of Euro 2020 due to his form for Leicester.

However, according to Metro, United are firmly in the hunt for the 23-year-old and will attempt to bring him to Old Trafford ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

The report also claims that the 20-time English champions would be prepared to listen to offers for Shaw at the end of the season despite the fact that he only signed a contract extension in October.

Chilwell has scored once and provided three assists in 19 Premier League appearances for Brendan Rodgers's side during the current season.
