Barcelona are allegedly willing to let Manchester United-linked Fermin Lopez leave Camp Nou during this summer's transfer window.

Barcelona are reportedly willing to let Fermin Lopez leave Camp Nou during this summer's transfer window.

The 21-year-old has been a regular for the Catalan giants during the 2024-25 campaign, making 30 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals and registering six assists in the process.

Fermin signed a new contract with Barcelona last October, with his current deal running until June 2029, but there was speculation surrounding his future earlier this year, with Manchester United said to be interested in his services.

The Red Devils are said to have approached Barcelona in January to register their interest in the Spain international.

The 20-time English champions are believed to have told the La Liga giants that they would be willing to pay €70m (£58.5m) for Fermin, but Hansi Flick's side made it clear that he was not for sale.

Barcelona 'willing to sell' Fermin this summer

According to Relevo, the situation has now changed, with Barcelona considering letting Fermin leave for the right price.

Fermin has been with Barcelona since 2016, and he made the breakthrough into their first team during the 2023-24 campaign following a successful loan spell at Linares in 2022-23.

In total, the attacker has represented his Catalan side on 72 occasions, scoring 16 goals and registering seven assists in the process, while he has been capped on two occasions by Spain and will be determined to secure a spot in the La Roja squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Could Man United reignite their interest in Fermin?

Fermin has shown his quality in a number of different positions for Barcelona, with his versatility proving to be crucial, but it has also worked against him when it comes to securing a regular starting role.

The Spaniard's best football has been played from the number 10 spot this term, and he would be absolutely perfect for Ruben Amorim's 3-3-4-3 system at Man United in one of the positions behind the centre-forward.

Fermin's energy and output make him perfect for the Premier League, and he could be an incredibly smart signing for Man United, especially considering his age and the fact that the Red Devils will not have to break the bank to sign him.

Bruno Fernandes has recently excelled in a deeper midfield area, while Alejandro Garnacho is being heavily linked with an exit, so there is a spot available in the front three for Fermin.

However, news of Barcelona's alleged willingness to sell will surely spark more interest, with Man United unlikely to have a clear run at the attacker during this summer's transfer window.
