Manchester United attacker Alejandro Garnacho is allegedly planning to sell his property in Cheshire as he wants to downsize, with the Argentina international not said to be planning for a departure despite recent reports.

Garnacho has listed his house for sale during a period of intense speculation surrounding his future at Old Trafford.

According to The Sun, Garnacho is looking for £3.8m for the seven-bedroom mansion, which is just £45,000 more than he paid for it, which led to a host of talk surrounding his reasons for the decision.

However, suggestions that the 20-year-old is planning to leave Man United this summer are believed to be wide of the park.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Garnacho wants to downsize with his partner, Eva, and one-year-old son, Enzo.

The ex-Atletico Madrid youngster is said to have purchased the property when his brother and parents were living in England, but the three members of his family have since returned to Spain.

Garnacho is being linked with a move away from Man United

Garnacho was heavily linked with a move away from Man United during the January transfer window, with Napoli and Chelsea both believed to have expressed an interest in his signature.

Napoli are said to have made a £40m bid in the winter market, but it did not reach Man United's valuation, which is thought to be in the region of £60m.

The Red Devils are not actively looking to sell the forward, but any exit would count as pure profit under the Premier League's rules surrounding Profit and Sustainability, so it would be a lucrative sale for the club.

Garnacho has made 46 appearances for Man United during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring nine goals and registering eight assists in the process, but he has largely struggled to impress in Ruben Amorim's 3-4-3 system.

Amorim: 'Garnacho is doing the right things'

Man United head coach Amorim said during his pre-match press conference on Friday that Garnacho is "doing the right things", but the Portuguese admitted that the forward is "not in a great moment".

"I think he is doing the right things," Amorim told reporters. "Of course, like any player in our team, he has to choose better, especially in the last third. All the players have to improve, maybe Bruno is the one who can do something, assist or score a goal very easily.

"We have to improve as a team to help Garnacho. But Garnacho is improving the way he defends, the way he runs. He's working hard.

"He needs more goals and assists, that is clear. But so do the other guys. I see him as a young kid that wants to improve, who is improving, but he is not in a great moment in that part like the other guys on the team."

Garnacho made the move to Man United from Atletico in 2020, and he has represented the Red Devils on 132 occasions, scoring 24 goals and registering 17 assists in the process.
