Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer aims title dig at Liverpool

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claims that it will not take Manchester United 'another 30 years' to win the Premier League title, referencing Liverpool's last success in 1990.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has backed Manchester United to win another Premier League title in the foreseeable future, claiming that it will not take as long as Liverpool to end their wait for a top-flight crown.

While Liverpool have won their opening eight fixtures this season, the Merseyside giants have never won the Premier League in its current form, with their last success coming in 1990.

United are considered to be the clear underdogs ahead of the clash between the two clubs on Sunday afternoon, although Solskjaer feels that it will not take at least a quarter of a century to bridge the gap.

The Norwegian told Sky Sports: "I am sure we will bounce back and win the league. And I am sure it won't be 30 years until the next Premier League that we do win."

Liverpool currently hold a 15-point advantage over United in the standings.
