Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: 'Old Trafford aura still exists for Manchester United'

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says that Old Trafford still holds a special and intimidating aura for Manchester United's opponents.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is adamant that Old Trafford has not lost the same inspiring aura that he felt as a Manchester United player despite their disappointing season so far.

United are currently seventh in the Premier League table and have lost four top-flight games on their own turf so far this season, as well as suffering elimination from the FA Cup and the Capital One Cup at Old Trafford this month.

Ahead of returning to his old stomping ground for the first time as Cardiff City manager, Solskjaer believes that the 'Theatre of Dreams' still holds a special and intimidating feeling.

"I don't agree that Old Trafford has lost its aura. To go to Old Trafford is a dream for many footballers and sometimes that can be daunting as well for teams and players," he told reporters.

"Obviously it's going to be my job to make sure that it isn't too daunting for my players."

United host Cardiff on Tuesday.
