David Beckham hails "refreshing" Marcus Rashford

Former Manchester United midfielder David Beckham hails the youthful exuberance of Marcus Rashford after the striker's match-winning strike in the Manchester derby.

Former Manchester United midfielder David Beckham has praised the youthful exuberance of striker Marcus Rashford.

The 18-year-old scored the only goal of the game to give his side victory in the Manchester derby on Sunday, taking his career tally to five goals in eight senior appearances.

Beckham offered his congratulations to Rashford in an Instagram post, saying that it is "refreshing" to see a youngster playing with such excitement.

United's victory took them to within one point of Manchester City in the top-four race.
