Liverpool target Zakaria Bakkali rubbishes links to Belgium champions Anderlecht

PSV Eindhoven star Zakaria Bakkali rubbishes reports of a move to Liverpool this summer.

Reported Liverpool target Zakaria Bakkali has rubbished rumours that he is joining Belgian champions Anderlecht.

The in-demand PSV Eindhoven winger has refused to sign a new contract with the Dutch outfit, and has been forced to train with the club's reserves as a result.

The Belgian has also been linked with moves to Atletico Madrid and Porto, though speculation linking him with a move to his homeland began after he was spotted at the Anderlecht vs. KV Oostende match last night.

However, the 18-year-old has been quick in clarifying the reasons behind his attendance at the game.

"I am on holiday at the coast with some friends," he is quoted as saying by Sporza. "It has nothing to do with a transfer to Anderlecht."

Meanwhile, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has backed his young players to bounce back from last season's title heartache.
