Liverpool are reportedly refusing to lower their £20m asking price for Harry Wilson, who is wanted by as many as five Premier League rivals.

Liverpool are reportedly refusing to budge on their £20m asking price for midfielder Harry Wilson.

The 23-year-old spent last season out on loan at Bournemouth, scoring seven goals in 31 Premier League appearances despite the Cherries suffering relegation.

A host of top-flight clubs are thought to be interested in a deal for Wilson this summer, with Aston Villa, Leeds United, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Southampton among the clubs monitoring his situation.

None of those clubs are willing to meet his £20m asking price, though, and The Mirror reports that Liverpool have no intention of lowering their demands.

Villa are reportedly leading the race for his signature but are only willing to offer up to £12m.

However, Liverpool believe that Wilson's performances for Bournemouth, and the fact that he has three years remaining on his contract at Anfield, warrant a higher price.

Wilson is keen to move on in search of regular first-team football, with his route to weekly action blocked at the Premier League champions.
