Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian vows to keep fighting for his place at Anfield, despite falling behind Alisson and Caoimhin Kelleher in the pecking order.

Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian has vowed to continue fighting for his spot in between the sticks at Anfield.

The 34-year-old has struggled to displace Alisson Becker since arriving from West Ham United two years ago and also finds himself below Caoimhin Kelleher in the pecking order.

Adrian extended his stay at Liverpool until 2022 earlier this summer, though, and he has refused to throw in the towel with regards to his first-team ambitions, despite links with a move back to his homeland with Real Betis.

Addressing the transfer rumours to Radio Marca Sevilla, Adrian said: "It is not that you want it or not, it is that the circumstances are right.

"Last time, Betis were looking for a goalkeeper and I was free. I got the chance of Liverpool and look, I signed and have already been here for three seasons.

"I will continue fighting there, the competition is getting tougher. But I like challenges and I'm still hard at work. What comes in the future we will see."

The shot-stopper has kept six clean sheets in 24 games for Liverpool across all competitions but is still waiting for his first appearance of the 2021-22 season.
