Mark Clattenburg to officiate Burnley vs. Hull City

Mark Clattenburg will return from suspension to referee Saturday's Premier League match between Burnley and Hull City at Turf Moor.

Referee Mark Clattenburg has been handed the Premier League encounter between Burnley and Hull City on Saturday afternoon.

The 39-year-old was suspended for the most recent round of matches due to the fact that he had reportedly breached two codes of conduct in the wake of the 2-2 draw between West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace on October 25.

Premier League officials are requested to travel to and from matches together, but Clattenburg is said to have left The Hawthorns on his own to ensure that he could return to his native Newcastle in time to attend an Ed Sheeran concert.

It has also been claimed that Clattenburg had a telephone conversation with Palace boss Neil Warnock in the hours after the game, which is against the rules.

However, it has now been confirmed that he will return to action this coming weekend at Turf Moor.

Following the retirement of Howard Webb in the summer, Clattenburg is widely considered to be England's best referee.
