Report: Granada to appoint Michael Laudrup

Former Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup could reportedly become the new manager of Granada this summer.

Granada have reportedly identified former Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup as the leading candidate to take the managerial position at the Spanish club this summer.

Despite keeping the Andaluz club in La Liga in the 2013-14 season, Lucas Alcaraz stepped down from his position in order to seek pastures new.

Rayo Vallecano boss Paco Jemez and former Brazil left-back Roberto Carlos have both been strongly linked with the vacant job in recent days.

However, according to Ideal.es, Granada president Quique Pina has recently held talks with Laudrup's agent, with the Dane said to be keen on taking charge of the Primera Division side.

Former West Bromwich Albion and Real Betis boss Pepe Mel has also been linked with the post.
