Fulham interested in appointing Mark Warburton as manager?

Fulham will sound out Brentford boss Mark Warburton about becoming their next manager, according to a report.

Fulham will reportedly offer Brentford boss Mark Warburton the opportunity to become their manager in the summer.

Warburton has attracted praise for the job that he has done with the Bees, having guided them to promotion from League One last season before establishing them as Championship promotion contenders this term.

However, it has been announced that he will leave Griffin Park at the end of the season, leading to much speculation over his future.

Struggling Fulham are considering the future of Kit Symons, who replaced Felix Magath in September and has won just one of his last eight games.

It is thought that owner Shahid Khan has given his new chief football officer Mike Rigg the power to choose Fulham's next manager and he is said to be looking at different options despite having a good personal relationship with Symons.

According to the Daily Mail, one of those options is Warburton and the Cottagers will sound out the 52-year-old for the role.

Warburton has been Brentford boss since December 2013.
