A report claims that Zaglebie Lubin defender Jaroslaw Jach, capped twice by Poland at senior international level, is close to finalising a £2m move to Crystal Palace.

Poland international defender Jaroslaw Jach is in London to complete a £2m switch from Zaglebie Lubin to Crystal Palace, according to a report.

The 23-year-old is expected to become the Eagles' second signing of the January transfer window, following in the steps of Erdal Rakip who officially joined on loan earlier today.

Jach is on the brink of agreeing a three-and-a-half-year deal with Palace, which the London Evening Standard claims will go through with little snags.

Boss Roy Hodgson has prioritised bringing in defensive cover during this month, having lost Scott Dann for the season and been without Mamadou Sakho for the last six weeks.

Two-cap Poland international Jach will reportedly be followed at Selhurst Park by a new goalkeeper and striker in the remaining nine days of the window, as Hodgson strengthens all over the field.
