Chelsea confirm that they have completed the signing of Charlton Athletic youngster Mason Burstow, who has been loaned back to the League One club.

Chelsea have announced that they have completed the signing of Charlton Athletic youngster Mason Burstow.

While the Blues failed to make any first-team additions during the January window, they did sign Derby County prospect Dylan Williams.

The European champions have since returned to the EFL to secure the signature of Burstow, a player who has previously been on trial at the club.

Burstow, who only turned 18 years of age in August, netted with his first touch in senior football when making his debut in an EFL Trophy tie at the end of that same month.

The teenager has since contributed six goals in 14 appearances, with two strikes coming from 235 minutes of League One football.

Burstow will spend the remainder of the campaign at The Valley before returning to his new club in the summer.
