How West Ham United could line up with Kurt Zouma, Tammy Abraham

Sports Mole takes a look at how West Ham United could line up with Tammy Abraham and Kurt Zouma next season.

West Ham United are being tipped to complete a double swoop for Chelsea duo Kurt Zouma and Tammy Abraham ahead of the 2021-22 season.

The Blues were reportedly prepared to send Zouma to Sevilla as part of a deal for Jules Kounde, but West Ham are now understood to have entered advanced discussions with a player who is supposedly keen to make the switch across London.

Abraham, meanwhile, is reported to be available for £30m after falling out of favour at Chelsea, which could see David Moyes's long and arduous search for attacking reinforcements come to an end.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the Hammers could line up with Zouma and Abraham in the ranks next season.

Michail Antonio has done a stellar job holding the fort in the final third while West Ham seek to bolster their attacking ranks, and Abraham will not displace his fellow forward easily but would be expected to start as Moyes's first-choice striker nonetheless.

With any hopes of a permanent deal for Jesse Lingard looking slimmer by the week, Said Benrahama and Jarrod Bowen appear set to man the flanks, while Pablo Fornals should edge out Manuel Lanzini in the creative role.

The Hammers have made it perfectly clear to interested parties that it would take a nine-figure sum to consider sanctioning Declan Rice's sale, and as a result, the 22-year-old ought to continue in Moyes's midfield during their long-awaited European season.

Rice and Czech lynchpin Tomas Soucek will provide a stellar layer of protection to the back four, although West Ham are also reported to have their eye on Spartak Moscow's Alex Kral - a compatriot of Soucek - but he would have his work cut out for him to become an undisputed starter.

Craig Dawson surprised several with his consistent nature in the 2020-21 season, but the 31-year-old would most likely be the one to drop out for Zouma, with left-footer Angelo Ogbonna keeping his place in the rearguard.

Aaron Cresswell and Vladimir Coufal are almost untouchable in the wide areas, while new arrival Alphonse Areola will battle the veteran Lukasz Fabianski for the right to wear the gloves, and the Paris Saint-Germain loanee's strong showings at Fulham should help him get the nod.
