Asmir Begovic: 'Bosnia and Herzegovina can reach knockout stages'

Asmir Begovic believes that Bosnia and Herzegovina can surprise people by reaching the knockout stages of the World Cup.

Asmir Begovic has claimed that Bosnia and Herzegovina have the ability to become the surprise package at the World Cup.

Despite having no experience of playing in a major tournament, Begovic is confident of producing a shock and reaching the knockout stages in Brazil.

"We have some good quality in our team and hopefully we can show that on the world's biggest stage," the Stoke City goalkeeper told reporters.

"We will be competitive, and if we play to our best we can get out of our group. Maybe we can be a dark horse and surprise some people."

Begovic and his teammates will meet Argentina, Iran and Nigeria in Group F.
