Midfielder Riqui Puig is reportedly ready to end his association with Barcelona this summer due to a lack of game time.

Riqui Puig has reportedly accepted that he needs to leave Barcelona during the summer transfer window.

Despite long being tipped to make an impact in the senior squad at Camp Nou, the academy graduate has only made a total of 14 starts and 41 substitute appearances.

Although the 22-year-old did get 45 minutes from the substitutes' bench against Celta Vigo on Tuesday evening, he has been given just one start during 2022-23.

According to reports in Spain, Puig is now ready to depart Barcelona, a decision which will be accepted by the club due to their financial issues.

A recent report has already said that the Catalan giants are ready to part ways with Puig, who has just over a year remaining on his contract.

Villarreal have recently been linked with a move for the player, and they are likely to be joined by many other La Liga and European teams.
