Carlos Tevez 'turns down Premier League return for Corinthians'

Boca Juniors striker Carlos Tevez turns down Juventus, Atletico Madrid and two unnamed Premier League sides in favour of a return to Corinthians.

Former Manchester United and Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has agreed to rejoin Corinthians despite receiving offers from two English clubs.

The 32-year-old moved back to another one of his former clubs Boca Juniors last summer, scoring nine goals in 23 appearances for the Argentine outfit.

However, he looks set to be on the move once again this summer, although his agent Kia Joorabchian has all but confirmed that he will not be returning to Europe despite offers from former club Juventus and Champions League finalists Atletico Madrid.

"Obviously we can only say Carlos is a Corinthians player after the signatures," Joorabchian told reporters in Argentina, according to Football Italia.

"We're talking about a done deal though, the transfer is done it's just missing the signature on the contract. There were offers from Juventus, Atletico Madrid and two English clubs but Carlos prefers to go back to Brazil."

Tevez scored 46 goals in 76 appearances during his first stint at Corinthians before making a shock move to West Ham United along with Javier Mascherano in 2006.
