Spotify CEO Daniel Ek reportedly prepares to make a second bid north of £2bn to buy Arsenal football club from Stan and Josh Kroenke.

Spotify CEO Daniel Ek is reportedly planning to make a second attempt to buy Arsenal from current owners KSE.

Following the club's involvement in the failed European Super League project, Arsenal fans staged regular protests against Stan Kroenke and Josh Kroenke, who have been widely criticised since assuming control of the club.

Ek announced his intention to buy Arsenal on social media in the wake of the fiasco and enlisted the help of Invincibles trio Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira to aid his efforts.

The 38-year-old had a bid of £1.8bn knocked back last month, but according to the Daily Mail, Ek is now preparing to come back with an offer north of £2bn.

The report adds that the Kroenkes have braced themselves for a second bid from the Spotify CEO, and the boyhood Arsenal fan is determined to get a deal done.

Under the ownership of KSE, Arsenal failed to qualify for European football for the first time in 25 years during the 2020-21 campaign, although the owners reportedly still have faith in current manager Mikel Arteta.
