John Coleman: 'People now taking notice of Accrington Stanley'

Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman predicts a "great game" when his side take on Leyton Orient, as they look to continue proving the doubters wrong.

John Coleman has claimed that Accrington Stanley's solid start to the season has led to those on the outside finally taking notice of the club.

Four defeats from their opening 15 games have left Stanley occupying the final playoff spot in League Two.

Next up for Accrington is a meeting with Leyton Orient at the Matchroom Stadium on Saturday afternoon, which Coleman believes will provide his side with another chance to push up the table.

"It should be a great game," he is quoted as saying by the club's official website. "They play attractive football and I know Ian Hendon well. They are a big club who expect to be in the playoffs or in the automatic places but people are also starting to take notice of us now.

"I expect an open game, it will be a really attractive game and hopefully we will come out on the right side. As we have said all along it's the teams who are consistent who will be up there."

Accrington have been given a big boost heading into this weekend's match after accepting a proposal from local businessman Andy Holt that will see £1.2m of debt written off.
