JJ Slater is reportedly in talks about joining the cast of TOWIE following his stint on Married At First Sight UK.

The 30-year-old businessman, who hails from Essex, married Bianca Petronzi on the E4 dating show but eventually ditched her and got together with another one of the brides, Ella Morgan.

Slater is already well-connected with the stars of TOWIE, counting the likes of Joey Essex, Chloe Brockett and Dan Edgar among his followers, and now The Sun says that he is being courted to join the show by ITV.

"JJ has made quite the impact on Married At First Sight, thanks to all the headlines generated by him 'wife swapping' with Ella, and he's caught the eye of TOWIE bosses," a source told the newspaper.

"They think he would be a perfect fit for their show - he's from Essex, he looks good and having starred on MAFS, clearly knows how to bring drama.

"They have reached out to him and made it clear they're interested in meeting with him, so watch this space."

The fate of JJ and Ella as a couple will be revealed on next week's final episodes of MAFS on E4.
