Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Almeria

Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of their La Liga clash with Almeria.

Real Madrid will be bidding to kick off their La Liga title defence with a positive result when they make the trip to newly-promoted Almeria on Sunday night.

Carlo Ancelotti's side won a La Liga and Champions League double last season, and they are already off the mark for the new campaign in terms of trophies, winning the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday night.

David Alaba and Karim Benzema were on the scoresheet against Europa League holders Eintracht Frankfurt in Helsinki, as Los Blancos won the competition for the fifth time.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of the team's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the fixture with Almeria, who won the Segunda Division last term.

Real Madrid have a fully-fit squad heading into Sunday's clash, with the capital giants not reporting any concerns from their success over Frankfurt in the UEFA Super Cup.

Luka Modric, Federico Valverde, Toni Kroos, Vinicius Junior and Dani Carvajal were all substituted in the second half of the contest, but all five changes were tactical rather than enforced.

New signings Aurelien Tchouameni and Antonio Rudiger featured off the bench on Wednesday, and the pair are available for selection on the opening weekend of the new La Liga campaign.

Mariano Diaz, Marco Asensio and Dani Ceballos are among the players to be linked with moves away from Real Madrid this summer, but the trio were in the squad against Frankfurt, with the latter featuring for the final five minutes.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Real Madrid have no suspension issues heading into this match.
