Leeds United have completed the signing of versatile midfielder Tyler Adams from RB Leipzig for an undisclosed fee, believed to be worth around £20m.

The 23-year-old USA international has penned a five-year contract at Elland Road, which will run until June 2027.

Adams becomes Jesse Marsch's fifth signing of the summer window after the arrival of fellow American Brenden Aaronson as well as Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca and Darko Gyabi.

The midfielder leaves Leipzig after two-and-a-half years with the Bundesliga club, where he made 101 appearances across all competitions.

Adams will now reunite with Marsch for a third time having previously worked with his compatriot at MLS outfit New York Red Bulls and Leipzig.

Marsch handed Adams his professional debut for the Red Bulls as a 16-year-old in a pre-season friendly against Chelsea back in July 2015, and he spent four years with the American club before joining Leipzig in 2019.

The 19-cap USA international was unable to nail down a regular starting place at Leipzig, and he started only 12 of his 24 Bundesliga appearances last season.

Adams is now hoping to become a key player under Marsch at Leeds and he could make his competitive debut for the club against Wolverhampton Wanderers on the opening day of the Premier League season on August 6.
