McCarthy suggests Parr will replace Mings

Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy has hinted that he does not need to sign a new left-back following the sale of Tyrone Mings to Bournemouth.

Mings, who joined Ipswich from non-League Chippenham Town for £10,000 in 2012, <a href="/football/bournemouth/transfer-talk/news/tyrone-mings-completes-bournemouth-move_230500.html">signed for the newly-promoted Cherries</a> in a deal reported to be worth £8m, with Brett Pitman and Ryan Fraser moving the other way.

McCarthy believes that former Crystal Palace defender Jonathan Parr can step up and take Mings's place in the Tractor Boys' backline.
