Freddie Flintoff is receiving treatment in hospital after being injured while filming a future episode of Top Gear.

The 45-year-old was filming on the show's test track at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey on Monday when the low-speed incident occurred, with the cameras believed to be rolling at the time.

The former cricketer received medical treatment on site before being airlifted to hospital, where he is now recovering from his injuries, which are not said to be life-threatening.

A BBC spokesperson confirmed: "Freddie was injured in an accident at the Top Gear test track this morning - with crew medics attending the scene immediately.

"He has been taken to hospital for further treatment and we will confirm more details in due course."

Flintoff has hosted Top Gear alongside Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris since 2019. body check tags ::
