Changing Rooms revival axed after two series

Channel 4 has confirmed that iconic home renovation show Changing Rooms will not return for a third series this year.

The broadcaster revived the format - a ratings hit for the BBC in the '90s - in 2021, with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen returning as chief interior designer and Naked Attraction's Anna Richardson replacing Carol Smillie as host.

For last year's second series, Llewelyn-Bowen took a more prominent role as Richardson left the show due to other filming commitments - but underwhelming ratings mean that he and the team will not be back for a new run of episodes.

A C4 spokesperson confirmed to The Sun: "Laurence will be back later this year in Outrageous Homes with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, so he won't be off our screens for long.

"We are extremely proud of our reboot of Changing Rooms and would like to thank everyone involved with the series."

The original show ran for 17 series on the BBC between 1996 and 2004.
