The BBC is reportedly developing a sport-themed version of Have I Got News For You.
The long-running topical panel show has been part of the BBC schedules since 1990, running for an impressive 66 series to date.
The proposed sport spinoff - tentatively called Have I Got Sport For You - would follow the same format and has been designed to fill the gap left by the axe of A Question of Sport, which ended after 53 years last year.
According to Broadcast, "high profile comedic and sporting talent" are attached to the project, which is being developed by HIGNFY producers Hat Trick Productions.
The main show features two regular team captains - Paul Merton and Ian Hislop - each of whom is joined by a different guest panellist each week, while the hosting role also changes from week to week.
Have I Got Sport For You is expected to launch on BBC One later this year. body check tags ::
