The Sicilian flat renovated by Amanda Holden and Alan Carr for their recent BBC series has gone on the market with an asking price of £127,500.

The BBC One docuseries Amanda & Alan: Italian The Job followed the pair as they merged two flats into one and renovated the apartment in the ancient Sicilian town of Salemi.

The flats were bought for just €1 - around 80p each - as part of a scheme by the local government to encourage migration into the town by offering up dilapidated buildings in need of repair for sale at a rock-bottom price.

Over the course of the three-month project, Holden and Carr made over two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge area and an outside courtyard, with the property spread over 1,400 square feet.

The property - named 'Casa Alamanda' by the pair - is now on sale on Rightmove, with all profits due to be split between Children In Need and Comic Relief.
