Another player is blocked on The Circle as 'The Assassin' twist plays out.

Billy was blocked from The Circle in tonight's episode as catfish Gemma succeeded with 'The Assassin' twist.

Earlier this week Gemma - aka former Gladiators star James - was given a secret mission to become the assassin and get his chosen target, Billy, blocked or be blocked himself.

James was quick to sow seeds of doubt about Billy to the other contestants, suggesting that he might actually be a catfish played by the real-life Billy's mother, while also falsely claiming that Billy had faltered on his football knowledge in a private chat.

The two influencers, Manrika and Andy, were torn between Gemma and Billy in their decision on who to send home but ultimately bought into Gemma's stirring and opted to block Billy.

Having learned about his blocking - and the assassin twist - Billy visited Gemma's apartment where he was stunned to come face to face with an equally-surprised James, who apologised for singling him out.

The next morning, the group learned through a video message that Billy was real - and The Circle also revealed that Gemma was behind 'The Assassin' twist.

As a result for his efforts in getting Billy booted, James is now immune from the next blocking.

The Circle continues tomorrow night at 10pm on Channel 4. body check tags ::
