Nick Knowles has revealed that a decision will be taken on whether he can compete in this weekend's Strictly Come Dancing this afternoon.
The 62-year-old TV presenter - partnered with professional Luba Mushtuk - made his dancefloor debut last Saturday, scoring 18 points for his Jive to 'We Built This City', which ranked him 12th out of the 15 celebrities.
However, he subsequently injured his shoulder in a freak accident while changing his car tyre and has spent all of this week wearing a sling.
Knowles and Mushtuk have still been training, albeit only light sessions due to his condition, with producers expected to consult medics in the coming hours to see if he is fit enough to take part on Saturday.
"I've just got out of soaking in the bath after a day's training, which went very well," he told fans in an Instagram video posted last night.
"My shoulder is repairing very well. I saw a great physio today that's helped enormously.
"So I get another day's training tomorrow. The decision will be made tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon, whether I can actually compete on Saturday.
"I'm doing my level best to get there, keeping my fingers crossed. So hopefully see."
Should Knowles get the all-clear, he and Mushtuk are due to perform an American Smooth to Blur's anthemic 'Parklife' on Saturday night. body check tags ::
