Sir Elton John has spent a night in hospital after suffering a fall at his home in France on Sunday, his agent has confirmed.
The 76-year-old has been staying at his villa in Nice with husband David Furnish and their two children for the last month following the conclusion of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road world tour last month.
Last week he was spotted partying on a superyacht with celebrity friends in St Tropez and earlier in the month he was seen having dinner with Kevin Spacey, who had just been cleared of accusations of sex offences.
A spokesperson for the musician said: "We can confirm that following a slip yesterday at his home in the south of France, Elton visited the local hospital as a precautionary measure.
"Following check-ups, he was immediately discharged this morning and is now back at home and in good health."
Elton has a history of hip-related mobility issues and in 2021 had to undergo surgery following what he described as "an awkward fall". body check tags ::
