Alex Reid reveals that he has been diagnosed with autism at the age of 45.

Katie Price's ex-husband Alex Reid has revealed that he has been diagnosed as "significantly autistic" at the age of 45.

The former MMA fighter said that he had been tested for Asperger's after befriending a family with an autistic child and realising that they had similar traits.

"It's a relief in many ways but it's a bit unnerving because it's coming to terms with new things, but it also explains so much," he told The Mirror.

"I've been so horrifically bullied throughout my whole life. I was the kid in school who asked the questions no-one else would and I'd be laughed at, I was the kid that the teachers would say had to try harder and they didn't understand it.

"Even in the army I've been bullied and I've been bullied for being different. This has kind of made sense of why."

Reid, who was Price's second husband between 2010 and 2011, is now expecting a child with fiancée Nikki Manashe. body check tags ::
