Victoria Beckham receives an online backlash after launching a Pride T-shirt at a cost of £95 with just 25% of sales going to charity.

Victoria Beckham has received criticism on social media after launching a Pride-themed T-shirt and donating just 25% of sales to charity.

The shirt has been released as part of the Pride Month celebrations in the LGBTQ+ community around the world - although this year, most big Pride events have been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Beckham's T-shirt comes only in white and features the message 'Listen Without Prejudice' - a reference to the late George Michael's iconic 1990 album - in rainbow colours.

The garment, which is available to order through the designer's website, retails at £95 and 25% of all sales will be handed to the Albert Kennedy Trust, which supports homeless LGBTQ+ youth.

After Beckham announced the shirt on Twitter, she received an angry backlash from users, with one replying: "Have a word with yourself ! Disgusting that you are charging this much for a simple t.shirt and only donating 25% , the charity would of made much more if you would of charged £25 not took advantage of George lovelies fans by ripping them off and donated ALL of the proceeds."

Another added: "The Spice Girls and George Michael are personal heroes of mine but this is disappointing. Why is it just "25% of sales" going to an LGBTQ charity? No business should be making a profit from a Pride tie-in."

Describing the T-shirt on Twitter, Beckham had earlier announced: "It's a reminder to be kind and listen to one another, today and every day."
