Elvis Presley's grandson Benjamin Keough has reportedly taken his own life in California.

The 27-year-old - oldest son of Elvis's daughter Lisa Marie Presley - is thought to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the upper torso at home in Calabasas.

A representative for Lisa Marie told TMZ: "She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11 year old twins and her oldest daughter Riley.

"She adored that boy. He was the love of her life."

Ben had become popular among the Elvis fandom in recent years for his striking resemblance to his late grandfather, with Lisa Marie describing his looks as "uncanny".
