The BBC orders a UK version of Korean format I Can See Your Voice to air on BBC One early in 2021.

The BBC has ordered a British version of the popular Korean format I Can See Your Voice for primetime broadcast on BBC One next year.

The show sees a two-person team attempting to guess whether singers are good or bad based just on seeing them perform and not hearing them - essentially a reverse version of The Voice.

The team will eventually whittle down the performers to just one act before their real voice is revealed and if they are right they win the cash, but if the chosen act is an impostor they get to take home the prize money instead.

Charlotte Moore, the BBC's director of content, said of the commission: "This addictive, fun and immersive new entertainment series will offer BBC One viewers jaw-dropping reveals and gives the whole family a chance to get involved in this compelling new guessing game."

A host has yet to be confirmed for the eight-part series, which is expected to be filmed this autumn under coronavirus distancing guidelines.
